In the progress of saving the planet and staying green, it is a very hard move. You are not used to do things like recycling bottle, using less energy, reducing plastic, and all these things to keep the planet save. But I am trying as much as I can. We separate trash from recycling bottles and cans. We pay bills by online. We turn of electronic devices and lights when we are not in the room or using it. We are trying to use less energy less light bulbs but then room looks so dim so we decided to stay with the normal light bulb that we normally use. Hopefully we will stick to the less energy light bulb so that we can save some money on our electric bill. I will keep trying my best as much as I can to keep our planet save. If more and more people try to change the way they live and safe the planet, it would be great for the earth and plus for the future. =]

Library is an interesting place to be because you can explore many different things. You can learn a lot from there. What I learned at the small library is what kind of books and information are on each floor. In the big library, I would definitely go back and explore more what they have in the library. The place looks very interesting as well. Boredom is a personal problem that college students keep to themselves because I am like that. I wish there were things which I don’t have to do but yet I have to do it. Everybody feels like doing something else fun then comparing to what they have to do. Hopefully soon I will find something interesting to do to avoid boredom.

Green is the WaY!

We need to start changing the way we live and also change the way we do things. The Earth has been polluted more than it ever has. It has affected us in many different ways. Weather pattern is changing constantly and more natural disaster is occurring around different parts in the countries. When I first saw the book “The Inconvenient Truth,” I was stunned of the before and after pictures from different parts of the world. Seeing how much pollution was in the air all because of human activities. Mountains with snow, water are all dried up because of global warming. By looking at the data entries, just in few years so much have changed in our Earth. We need to save our planet and try to keep clean as possible as we soon before any major disaster occurs. If we don’t do anything about it, slowly by slowly the ice are going to melt rapidly, the rivers are going to dry and land will lose its moisture. It will make us hard to live. In order for anything awful happens, we need to do what’s good for the earth instead of harming it. We can take one step at a time. Things what we, people can do is recycle bottles, paper, turn of any electronic devices when no one is home or if you are not using it and also use less electricity. I am glad Dr. Smith and Dr. Louis are going “paperless” in the class. By doing so, we have saved so much paper and good thing about it that my bag is not as heavy as it used to be and we are saving trees. But then in order hand we are using computer’s energy to do the work. If most school went “paperless” in class, we could have save so much of trees. In my home, we turn out lights if no one is in the room and also electronic devices. When pay our bills by online. By that we save paper and also money for the stamps. We also recycle papers, paper box, cans and so on. It is very hard to go green because we have to sacrifice lot of things. We all should try to do their best to do what is good for the earth without harming it.

Museum is the place where you can explore many different things and learn and see new things that you have not seen before. First thing you should do when you to go the museum is take a guide sheet with you. Incase you get lost, you can find your way back or to a certain place by looking at the map. In American Museum of Natural History, they have many different types of things we can see. But according to our assignment, we had to go to Gottesman Hall of Planet Earth. When I entered the big room, it immediately caught my attention. There were a earth moving on the ceiling and below there was a small sitting place where we could see the earth moving on the top. On the right side, it was about the climates. On the left side was about the rocks. Right away my group and myself got started on our work. First we read the questions and looked around the room for the answers for the questions. Our questions were related about the climate. Therefore we spend most of the time on the right side of the room. Gathering information and taking pictures of the display items. The big long ice was attractive. Pretty much I enjoyed my time there in the museum. It’s a great place to be and explore and learn new things. I would definitely visit there again and spend more time on other parts of the museum.
Watching the film, An Inconvenient Truth and the museum, I find the most believing is the museum. The reason why I find the museum is more believing because in there we can see it in 3D and the size of it. But in the film, when they show a model, we cant tell how big or small it is. Also we don’t see it clearly as we do in the museum. The way the film gives us information and the museum, I prefer the film because they explain to us what going on and in the museum its our job to read and understand it.
